While browsing Design Soak, I stumbled on this pretty awesome vintage twitter logo based on Storefront font, a type inspired by the 1920s and 1930s American sign painters. The logo was designed by Ale Paul, who also happens to be the founder of Sudtipos, the Argentinian type foundry who created the type.
By the way, one of the best tips when designing very good looking logos is always looking for this sort of bespoke commercial types to base your logos on. Think about it, actually is quite a simple logic, if other designers have spend their time perfecting a type, it certainly a much better choice to base a logo on then a free font.
So I recommend checking out Sudtipos, they have plenty more awesome fonts there.
