Not long after the new Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff was elected, her government have rushed to launch a marketing campaign. The logo was designed by Marcelo Kertesz, creative vice-president at Africa Advertising, and was acclaimed by many as a natural evolution of the previous logo.
However, the slogan “Pais Rico, é Pais sem Pobreza” — which in English translates to “Rich Country, is a Country Without Poverty” — have been criticized by many as redundant, and an assault to creative copywriting.
